TekBot
Description:
TekBots are programmable robots designed for use in ECE curriculum. TekBots help teach engineering principles and theories while inspiring interest in the material. TekBots are part of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) curriculum at OSU and have been immensely successful. Mounting a SunSPOT on a TekBot (thus creating a SPOTBot) may incite interest in the software aspects of ECE for students who would normally be apathetic. Computer Science students also benefit from getting hands-on experience with hardware that they can actually manipulate.
Core TekBots come with a Motor Control Board, a power supply, and two bidirectional motors attached to wheels, all to be mounted on a small frame.
