For the Extremophile search, we must examine GPS coordinates for the existence of Extremophiles. Data we must collect:
- Close up, high-res photo with indication of scale
- Wide-angle panorama with cardinal directions and scale.
- GPS Coordinates, including elevation and accuracy range.
Judges will give us approximate GPS coordinates (with accuracy range) and a general site description. We're especially looking for "lithotrophic photosynthetic cyanobacteria," which is basically blue-green algae. According to the rules, the best indicator of their existence is that we can see them (they also hint that IR might be helpful too). They also mention that we should reference already existing information on the MDRS website.
